Vector Operations Solutions Ltd began its evolution back in 2015 as Virtus Training Group, delivering high-quality, realistic training services to the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF). Over the years, our commitment to excellence in training and consulting has continuously evolved—fuelled by real-world experience, innovative methodologies, and a dedication to empowering frontline personnel.

From Virtus to OPFOR to Vector Operations Solutions

Our founder and director Charles brings over 13 years of dedicated service in the defense sector and a successful track record as a business owner. With a military background in infantry and intelligence — having deployed to operations in the South West Pacific, the Middle East, and Central Asia — Charles has always seen training as more than a profession. It’s his passion. He believes that training is about continuously learning new skills, going beyond the immediate call of duty, and honing a precise, detail-oriented approach in every engagement.
In February 2022, Charles established OPFOR New Zealand Ltd to provide targeted, combat-focused training to military and law enforcement. Although Virtus Training Group ceased operations in early 2024 due to government spending reductions, this pivotal shift led to the re-establishment of OPFOR, rebranded and expanded into what is now Vector Operations Solutions. Our current suite of services reflects the combined strengths of years of business activity, invaluable military experience, and a commitment to innovative thinking.
